Past Issue # 3
Bystanders on Sundays
Christ’s interactions with people throughout Lent pivoted around redemption and empathy. People will often forget and realize the amount of humanity present in these parables. Perhaps it's the work of familiarity.
The 3rd issue of Efmevi focuses on the theme of bystanders on the events of the first 3 Sunday readings of Lent. The goal is to explore, from the perspective of the bystander, any or all of the following: the Temptation, Prodigal Son, Samaritan Woman. Contributors have put themselves directly in any of the scenes of the 3 Sundays in March and to look at the storyline from a perspective that strives to unravel something new. If it doesn't, it just solidifies something already known.
Through the writers and our own understanding, we become bystanders to the events. What do we find?
