Editor's Letter - 8th issue
The Holy Spirit has been asked to descend on the gifts laid on the altar. This Gregorian liturgy takes an unexpected turn before the Seven Litanies. The celebrant cries out:
Yes, we ask you, O' our Lord - rescue the foundations of the church:
purify the hearts of our clergy
their dark ambitions, transform them – their thirst of power, curb it
support our elders and parents
their minds, enlighten them – their inability to change, transfigure it
incline your ear upon the young
their futures and gifts, show their potential – their deep struggle, give it meaningful
our hearts as your children, we need you
the light of Scripture, let it shine on us
our lives as your children, guide us
the way of your saints, make it ours
As you have brought us to the present, keep the past hot in our minds
We must admit, the future is fraught without You!
