Editor's Letter - 6th issue
"Images", this issue, was supposed to be a grand affair. This editor's letter is not supposed to use the past tense, as if it already knows the end of the story, according to the precedent set by earlier issues.
I'm reminded of the story of Saul. When he turned against David after Samuel prophesied that David would be the next great king of Israel, Scripture reports that the Spirit of God left Saul.
Sometimes we're possessed by a great energy, great dose of motivation to push forward work for the ministry. And we're filled and directed by anything other than the Holy Spirit. Saul was a king chrismated by God. But still the Spirit left him.
Circumstances tested Saul to see what fills him, drives him forward. His intentions and inner motives were revealed.
